Cerris,

I will tell you of three hundred year old poem that could only have been penned by someone close to Kidd at the time, it mentions the location of his treasure on an unknown isle I believe we all know as Oak Island

Sounds interesting. :)

Jo,

By all means, bring along hard copies (if you have room) of the photos so you can give us a play by play descriptin of your meeting.

Bring the book along too, I don't think I have seen this book before and if you like, we can display it along with my collection.

Sea shanty

For those who will be attending the Pirates Brannigan at EOID this summer, you will hear that old ballad about Kidd Cerris mentions put to modern music and lyrics with this band http://www.greatbigsea.com/themusic/ Great Big Sea.

You can go to this site, click on the Hard and The Easy album and follow the links to hear a clip of the song as they sing it. Their version is quite rousing and makes one want to slurp on a big frothy, cold mug "o ale.

I suspect a few beers will be quaffed at your meeting in London at the pub, am I wrong?

New Jo

Jo,

It would appear you are a new owner of the OITF, I think it is just simply wonderful your name is the same as the previous owner, Jo whom we love so dearly.

Allow me to introduce myself, I am one of those pathetic Oak Island nobs who post here on a regular basis. Please give my regards to the previous Jo should you bump into her.

Oh, and by the way, the staff and management of the Black Pearl Bar and Grill in Western Shore also say hi and have asked me to pass along a message. Please call ahead next time she comes here as they ran out of beer the last time.

Oh silly me, almost forgot, Keiths Brewery in Halifax also extend a hearty welcome to you, the new owner, and hope you would become as good a customer as the last Jo.
