Calling all UK forum members!

Postby Jo on Sun May 14, 2006 3:30 pm

This July I would like to invite all UK forum members to meet up for the very first time!

This will probably take the form of a Saturday afternoon in a goode olde English pub somewhere in central London. Although I appreciate that not all members would be able to make it to London, it is probably the most central location for the majority of us.

We can surmise over the future exploration of Oak Island over a yard of ale and hopefully not get into any fights!

If you think you might be interested, please email me at oakislandtreasure@gmail.com letting me know your prefered dates for Saturdays in July.

Looking forward to meeting you soon!

Tank,

Don't worry, I guess we'll have to be patient and wait for the EOID International Roadshow ;)

Jo.

Unless you come up with a better location for a UK OITF meet i have found a pub that might be suitable.
Today i had to go to London to sort out my passport, right opposite the passport building which you cant miss is a pub called the `St George tavern`.
It does Greene king and wait for it Adnams, it had music played at a reasonable level and wasn`t anywhere near as expensive as i would have expected for an inner city pub.
They have tables outside(from which you can clearly see Victoria station) so if it is a nice day you can get some rays and observe the hooded feral children prancing around as if they own the place and generally being rude and obnoxious.

Dont get me wrong i didnt want to go in there but felt that some research was needed whilst i was in the area.

We all have to do our bit every now and then

Just a though!
Quick pass me a spade! I`ve had another idea.

Jo.

The Captain Kidd, sounds perfect.
Looks a rather strange building but then again i suspect we will turn out to be a strange crowd.
And within easy walking distance of transport, thats a must for hardened researchers

Garden area with BBQ and seating overlooking the Thames

The site of Kidd's execution

£1.70 a pint

Could it be any more perfect for an OITF "meeting"?!

Jo and Vincent,

The Captain Kidd is a great pub-good choice. I will e-mail you with preferred dates but will fit in with everyone else if possible.

Look forward to it.
