TTL Petition

Postby Jo on Fri Jan 15, 2010 7:41 am

I have been working with film maker Kari Mitchell, who, along with Dan Blankenship has hatched a plan to try and drum up some public support for expediting his TTL application. Although we know that UNESCO have now taken an interest in the whole issue, this is an opportunity to get some public support behind the TTL so Dan may have his chance to dig on Oak Island again.

Please help by signing a world-wide petition asking the Province of Nova Scotia to grant Dan Blankenship and his financial partners a Treasure Trove License for exploration. You CAN make a difference. Your expressions of support will be submitted to the Premier of Nova Scotia, the Hon. Darrell Dexter; to members of the Nova Scotia Legislature and to the government department responsible for issuing the Treasure Trove License.

There also follows a promotional video which I will posting here shortly.

Here's the video, I hope you enjoy it.

I've spent the last week tracking down images too and supplied around 40 in the end. It's great to see Kari's interpretation of the mystery and how she's framed the history of the hunt with Dan's plea.

As a SCUBA diver I have already signed petitions having to do with the TTL and the NDP government. If this thing goes thorugh it will not only effect OI but any kind of underwater archaelogy and historic shipwrecks/sites. Unfortunately until this all gets straightened out there will be no TTL's assigned. So just do what I did and write your local MLA and the minster of culture and minister of natural resources.

Please try again - the video should now be working. Sorry for the delay in getting it up there, it was a very busy day for me yesterday.
