If you are coming to EOID07 (Explore Oak Island Day 2007) the following places to stay will offer you a discount if you mention this website when you make your booking!

Rayport Campground - 10% off your bill
Website - http://www.comsearchinternational.com/rayport.htm
3 mins drive from Western Shore/Oak Island

Sword and Anchor B&B - 5% off your bill
Website - http://www.swordandanchor.com/
10 mins drive from Western Shore/Oak Island

I have stayed at both and they come highly recommended:

Rayport Campground for the late night, riverside campfires and The Sword and Anchor for the gorgeous rooms and Jane's amazing breakfasts!

Notice MDK's restored trilium in the back....

Looking forward to morw of the same next year!

Did they REALLY?

This means something QUITE different where I'm from, perhaps along the lines of the old camping and fag conversation...

JO,

A quick toss = a beverage of their choice! :P Or does it?

Not

A quick toss = a moment of manual gratification?

<she asked innocently>

Jo,

Oh I can see where differences of continnental variance would come into play, yikes. I had a blast with the camping/fag scenario! And I learned a new one with the crack for underwear Halifax trading policies. There still so much to understand about that one. Which is worth more, the tighty whities clean on both sides or the eatable womens drawers with a bite missing?

BI,

I think you'll agree that the ever popular "Fanny Elephant" has far more crack street value than any of your tighty whites.

Check out this bad boy...

I could see where that should fetch an armful on the street!

Reminds me of a camping trip in West Australia when the Canadian girl said to the Brit tossing the sleeping bags out of the van "you're a real tosser aren't you!" The Australians, Irish & other Brits were in shock! You could have heard a pin drop except for some silly Yank just about peeing herself laughing. Seems most Canadians don't know what a tosser is to the rest of the Commonwealth.
