Mt. Uniacke Revisited

Postby Marauder on Mon Aug 20, 2007 10:52 am

A freind and I finally went to Uniacke house to locate that strange serpent monument. Didn't have to look that much...it's directly in front of the house. I'll post some pics later.

In the meantime, I came across this short series of vids. They have no connection to the monument, but indicate another possible mystery involving the Uniackes.

Uniacke House

Postby Tank04 on Mon Aug 20, 2007 12:15 pm

Marauder,

Uniacke House has long been on my list of places to visit here in Nova Scotia.

The videos are very intriguing stuff, lots of food for thought. Those clips appear to be done locally and seem to be very well done. Do you know anything about the production and what it is part of?

I wonder where the Vellum is now?

Hi Marauder,

Unfortunately I can't view the Youtube videos here at work. I'll check them out tonight.

The Uniacke Estate is definitely an interesting and beautiful place. You probably know that it was built by Richard John Uniacke between 1813 and 1815. Aside from his being the Attorney-General at one time he was also a very high ranking Freemason, which is where my interest lies.

John Coleman (as discussed on this site) has done some interesting geometry research which links the serpent statue.

Here are a couple of the photos that I took last summer when I visited.

Thanks for posting those GK. No need to post that view now.

In that vid series it's mentioned that RJ incorporated some design features into the house based in the info he decoded. The only thing we could find (didn't go inside that day) was the "hemispherical" front window(top window in the pic). Looks like the northern hemisphere tilted on axis.

The serpent looks out of place there. But of course it is not, because it's the exact center of a pentagram. Placed around 1863 and confirmed by John's GPS.

It was funny watching some of the touists passing by it doing a double take.

Another interesting thing...in those vids it mentions that the info was under the care of a person who lived in the old town clock. This person's daughter was the best friend of the mother of the person I was with! This friend also happens to be the same person who got me started on all of this by mentioning W.F. Mann's book and the "Uniaxis" ring of his Great Uncle, who was a Grand Master of the Knight's Templar in Canada.

This ring, when scaled and angled correctly to NS (excluding the Cape)
centers on Mt. Uniacke. This relationship caused Mann to write the book.

Tank...I've given that link to a friend who has been producing stuff around here for a number of years. He hasn't seen all of it yet and is currently on vacation. I'll ask about that when he returns.

And here's another ironic connection slightly OT...I gig wth the above mentioned guy. One of the keyboard players who does this gig happens to be a geologist. So I asked him if he had any thoughts about the geology of OI. Turns out I was asking Gordon Fader and didn't realize the connection before I asked. Doh...

All,

Well, that's a nice old house. Is it open for tours and the like?

Marauder,

I bet Gordon had a few comments to add to the pile about Oak Island. So, Dr. Fader is a muscian too?

It's younger than the house I live in! Shall we say, mid-life crisis age?
