The more I look into this the more I cannot understand why the OITS is in such a mass. This is not beneficial to the Oak Island mystery. I know for a fact there are things in the pipeline! For 2010. the OITS must start getting their act together (one way or the other.) The people who want to walk away, walk away now. There is many new people queueing up to take their seat. To keep it going.

However

I have some questions myself

1. who ever heard of a society closing down when others are willing to help out and run for office.

2 . Why do only 2 director hold tittles on the board. Are they related

3 . Why are they holding a vote on a Monday if they have most of there member from away. How are they suppose to cast their vote . I am sure most work and it would surely not be expected for them to lose time at work.

4.I read the article in the paper and even my good friend Dan doesn't seem to agree with them.

Those are good questions Jeff, but those are things we have been trying to find out since we all heard about this and no one seem to want to give us the answers. garnette

Hi Jeff,

Interesting questions, but I must inform you that we don't have any directors from OITS posting on here at the moment who will be able to address your concerns.

I am sure we can discuss the points you make, however these will be susceptable to conjecture and supposition as none of us are able to speak on behalf of the Society. It might be worth addressing the OITS directly with these, so let me know if you'd like contact details to go down the correct channels. If you pose these directly to them, you can be sure of getting the answers you require.

Hi Jeff,

There are two directors from the OITS as members on this forum and both have moderator status.

They might not be posting; however you can be sure they are reading this forum.

Jo, has Danny placed a gag order which bans the other directors from posting here?

I have no idea.

The other Moderator we have (and many of you have met) is Adminral Benbow. He's recently taken up a new parishiner position over in Seaforth and has very little time. You could try PMing him though, he may respond.

Your post seemed more definitive rather than speculative. You can tell us you know.

Paul, I'm not sure what you're getting at.

I'm not an OITS spokesperson, as I keep stressing, so if you have comments for them, why not email them directly?

Of course you’re not a spokesperson for the OITS (right now  ) and given their current situation, I can understand anyone wanting to distance themselves. Good call and strategy.

jeff,

Jo's right, you could try emailing. But they won't reply, especially if your a non-member and they didn't get your $10.00. I know a few members that get no replies. Better off calling the physic line.

Sounds like a very reasonable suggestion, Jo. Always best to go to the source and discover what are usually simple, straight-forward answers to things, rather than constructing vast conspiracy theories by twisting other people's language around.
