Posters;

Recently, I came across the title Oak Island Mystery "?" by Nyal Thomas on Amazon. Has anyone read this novel or seen it in the stores?

Just curious to know what the general plot is and if it's worth the read.

Hi Proc -

I've not seen it, and we have quite a few OI books in our office.

Hi Proc & Shari,

I read this one a few years ago and would definitely not recommend it. From what I remember there was noting about Oak Island even in the book. The title is "Oak island Mystery ?" as if the question mark is asking if it really is about Oak Island...well I can tell you that the answer is a big fat NO!

If you're looking for a good fictional story involving Oak island then I'd recommend "The Secret Treasures of Oak Island by J.J. Pritchard", "The Third Coffin" by William L. Traxel, "Betrayed: The Legend of Oak Island" by Christopher Dinsdale, "The Oak Island Affair" by Jane Bow or "Guardian" by Katie Hines.

Cheers,

I agree with Scott. The Thomas book has nothing to do with OI, NS. Another fictional book using OI as a backdrop is simply titled "Oak Island", by Gene Lancour; published by Banbury Books, 1983. Unfortunately, it's a rather poorly written pot boiler with a somewhat fanciful premise.

Thanks for the info, everyone. I'll be sure to avoid this one, but will check into some of the other titles mentioned.
