Hi Cantonadi, welcome to the forum!

We've actually discussed the pirate Levasseur on this forum before. (for example here is one thread: http://forum.oakislandtreasure.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4127).

I remember being intrigued by the mention that just before his execution on the gallows he suddenly threw a bundle of parchments up in the air and said: "find my treasure, who can!". The account also mentions that many of the papers where written in "pigpen cipher". The pigpen cipher is also know as the Masonic cipher or Rosicrucian cipher.

Perhaps if you are able to take more fictional liberties with your second novel then you could have Catherine returning to France with one of these cryptic ciphers (one which nobody else knows about). Perhaps Catherine might spend much of her free time studying and deciphering the ingenius clues in the cipher. Perhaps Catherine might eventually discover that Levasseur was actually an early high ranking French Freemason who had broken away from the lodge and formed his own nefarious web of ex-Masonic Pirates. Perhaps Catherine might learn that this group had actually hidden their amassed wealth (including a priceless ancient relic handed down from the Templars to the Masons and stollen by Levasseur) across the Atlantic on Oak Island in Arcadia?! :)

Just a suggestion.
