List of GPS Coordinates of ........

Postby acdonah on Mon Nov 06, 2006 9:11 pm

Dear Posters,

In this age of technology, it would be really nice if we could start a sticky in the research area that catalogs the GPS coordinates or longitude/latitude of everything interesting around the island, NS, and anywhere else that might link to Oak Island.

For example,

OI is 44 degrees 30'48.38 N
64 degrees 17'29.82 W

MP is 44 degrees 30'44.99 N
64 degrees 17'29.82 W

Now.....these are approximate. Next year at EOIDs maybe someone could record the exact coordinates if they have a GPS. It would be really nice to share this information.

Just wanted to share: Cone C at the beach, the left arm of Nolan's cross lies at

44 deg 30' 54.66880"N
64 deg 17' 32.07974"W

This was secured with a beacon corrected Leica GPS (the best).

Petter,

Thanks for sharing. I appreciate it. Everytime someone posts some coordinates on here, it might bring us a little bit closer to solving the mystery. All the researchers I know involved with OI are requesting and searching for this information.

I know everyone is wondering what the coordinates of the cross are. It would be great to have all of them eventually.

Petter.....when is your book coming out in English? Perhaps you can provide a link if we can preorder it.

Best Regards.

Good idea to include the coordinates of the cross in the English book, whenever it is ready. I cannot tell when that will be. My agent is working steadfastly towards that goal.

Petter,

You did include the exact points of the cross in your book? If you did that is great!!! I dont think there is any doubt that everyone on here is going to buy your book when it comes out. Me for one, so is there any way you could post the coordinates of the other stones?

We got an eager beaver here. I'll bet you sneaked a peek at your Christmas gifts well ahead of time too, didn't you acd?
Any resemblance to actual persons, places and establishments is pure coincidence.

Hello, eager readers! :D

I have not included the GPS points in the Norwegian book, but I plan to add more things as new countries buy it. Unless the eventual English publisher declines my offer, I shall at least include my ultimate point X.
Perhaps also more points.

Have a great day!
